Once again we are proud to be loaning our wares to the wonderful Kips Bay Decorator Show House that opened today at 457 Madison Avenue through the end of the month.
This year we partnered with Gideon Mendelson of Mendelsongroupinc.com
Gideon Mendelson crafted his Lady's Lair for a very
particular woman: "she's powerful and still beautiful," Mendelson said,
"and that's what I think this room is." The design is in many ways a
story of dichotomies: hard woods and soft suede (both on the walls),
angular geometrics (on the ceiling panel) and soft curves (on the
mirror), as examples.
We loaned many of the vases in his room as well as the important Knud Kyhn sculpture of gooming monkeys for Royal Copenhagen.
Funds raised go towards programs for Kips Bay Boys and Girls Club of New York.
To enrich and enhance the quality of life for young people by providing
educational and developmental programs, with special emphasis on
youngsters between ages 6-18 who come from disadvantaged or
disenfranchised circumstances.
