In 1959, a West German pottery company called Ceramano was founded with the intention of creating high quality ceramics of exceptional design that reach beyond the mainstream. Here is a rare version of a Ceramano vase style called the "Adria", designed by artistic director Hanns Welling. An object of such vibrant cobalt blue, its creation seems likely influenced by the iconic works of contemporary artist Yves Klein.
