I'm anticipating renewed interest in this over-the-top baroque style after seeing Steven Soderbergh's "Behind The Candelabra" - the critical darling based on the life of Liberace, currently airing on HBO. Illustrious illumination from Barovier & Toso, circa 1950. This type of lamp is reserved for the daring decorator with a flair for the fancy.
