Sitting Pretty
Quite possibly an homage to the large Meissen animals created in porcelain by sculptor Johann Joachim Kändler during the 18th century. This hand-painted ceramic interpretation was made in Italy during the 1950's. Measuring over two feet in length and 18" tall from front hoof to ear tip. The expression on its face and leisurely posture give it such an elegant and lifelike presence. Wild!
